Check the following in order:
- Open your browser or device settings and confirm that Wrk It has permission to send notifications. If permission shows as Blocked, you need to reset it manually in your browser site settings and then re-enable notifications on your Profile page.
- Make sure you are accessing Wrk It over HTTPS. Push notifications require a secure connection and will not work on plain HTTP.
- If you are on a desktop browser, check that the browser itself is not muted or that you haven’t silenced notifications for that browser in your operating system’s notification center.
Push notifications are delivered by a backend scheduler. There may be up to a one-minute delay between a scheduled reminder time and delivery.

Push notifications don't work on my iPhone
Web push on iPhone and iPad requires two things:
- iOS 16.4 or later. Older versions of iOS do not support web push at all. Check your iOS version in Settings → General → About.
- The app must be installed to your Home Screen. Push notifications are not delivered when you use Wrk It from a regular Safari browser tab. You must add Wrk It to your Home Screen first.
- Open Wrk It in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add to confirm.

If you granted permission but reminders still don’t arrive, check these common causes:
- Do Not Disturb or Focus mode: When your device has Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode active, all notifications are silenced regardless of app settings. Check your device’s notification center or Control Center.
- Device-level notification settings: On iOS, go to Settings → Notifications and confirm that notifications for your browser (or the Wrk It Home Screen app) are allowed and set to show on the Lock Screen and in the Notification Center.
- Android battery optimization: Some Android devices aggressively suspend background processes. Go to Settings → Battery → Battery optimization and set your browser to Unrestricted.
- Re-subscribe: On your Profile page, try toggling notifications off and back on. This refreshes your push subscription with the server.
Streaks
My streak was reset even though I completed my habits
My streak was reset even though I completed my habits
Wrk It tracks streaks by consecutive completed periods — not by the number of completions you have in total. The rules depend on your pack’s frequency:
- Daily packs: you must complete all habits every single day. Missing any day resets the streak to zero.
- Weekly packs: you must meet the required number of completions within the defined week window. If you fall short in a given week, the streak resets.
- Custom-days packs: you must complete habits on each scheduled day. Missing a scheduled day resets the streak even if you completed habits on other days.
- If your pack was frozen during the missed period, those days are not counted toward your streak. Frozen packs pause progress tracking.
- Verify you checked off all the habits in the pack — partially completed days do not count as full completions for streak purposes.
My streak shows 0 after joining a pack
My streak shows 0 after joining a pack
This is expected behavior. Your streak counter starts accumulating from the first day you complete all the required habits in a pack. Joining a pack does not give you any pre-existing streak credit.Complete your habits today and your streak will show 1 tomorrow, provided you complete them again.
Habit packs
My habits are not showing up today
My habits are not showing up today
Not every pack has habits due every day. The habits shown on your My Wrk dashboard are filtered to what is actually scheduled for today:
- Daily packs show every day.
- Weekly packs show on all days within the week, but you only need to meet your completion count by the end of the week.
- Monthly packs are active all month — you choose when within the month to complete them.
- Custom-days packs only show on the specific days of the week you selected when setting up the pack. If today is not one of your selected days, the pack will not appear.
I can't find the pack I created
I can't find the pack I created
Custom packs you create appear under the My Wrk tab, not in the Explore feed (unless you set them to public and others join). Try these steps:
- Go to My Wrk and scroll through your active packs.
- If you don’t see it there, check whether you accidentally removed yourself from the pack. You can re-join it from Explore if it is public, or recreate it if it was private.
- Make sure you are signed in to the correct account — packs are tied to your user profile.
Private packs are only visible to you. They will never appear in the public Explore feed.

My display name change isn't showing on the leaderboard
Leaderboard entries are updated periodically rather than instantly. After changing your display name on your Profile page, it may take a short while for the update to appear on the global or pack leaderboards. If your old name is still showing after several minutes, try refreshing the leaderboard page.
App performance
The app is slow or not loading
The app is slow or not loading
Try these steps in order:
- Refresh the page — a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows/Linux, Cmd+Shift+R on macOS) clears cached resources and often resolves loading issues.
- Check for updates — if you have Wrk It installed as a PWA, the app may have a pending update in the background. On most browsers you can find this under the browser menu → App info or by re-opening the app from the Home Screen after a fresh install.
- Clear site data — in your browser settings, find site data for the Wrk It domain and clear it, then reload. You will need to sign in again.
- Try a different browser or device — this helps confirm whether the issue is specific to your current setup.
