Reminders help you build a consistent habit routine by nudging you at the times that work best for your schedule. Wrk It gives you two reminder slots per pack — one for the morning and one for the night — so you can bookend your day with exactly the check-ins you need.
Reminder slots
Each habit pack has two independent reminder slots:
- Morning reminder — enabled by default, set to 6:00 AM. Use this to kick off your day and complete your habits early.
- Night reminder — disabled by default, set to 8:00 PM. Turn this on if you prefer an evening check-in or want a second chance to complete anything you missed.
You can enable or disable either slot independently without losing the time you configured for it. Disabling a slot just pauses that reminder — the saved time stays in place so you can re-enable it later.
Open your profile
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar to go to the Profile page.
Open the Notifications section
Scroll down to the Notifications section. You’ll see the Morning reminder and Night reminder entries listed beneath the main notifications toggle.
Expand the reminder slot
Tap a reminder entry to expand its settings. Each slot shows a time picker and a toggle to enable or disable it.
Set your preferred time
Use the time picker to choose the hour and minute you want to receive that reminder. Times use a 24-hour input and are displayed in 12-hour AM/PM format in the app.
Enable the slot
Make sure the toggle for that reminder slot is turned on. Tap anywhere outside the expanded settings to collapse it.
Save
Wrk It automatically saves your settings and syncs the reminder schedule to the backend. You don’t need to tap a separate save button.
Set your reminders 15–30 minutes before you typically start your habits, not at the moment you want to complete them. That lead time gives you a chance to get ready and makes it less likely you’ll dismiss the notification and forget.
What the reminder notification says
When a reminder fires, the notification displays:
- Title: Wrk It Reminder
- Body: A prompt to complete your habit
Tapping the notification opens the Wrk It app directly so you can start checking off habits right away.
Timezone handling
Reminders use your device’s local timezone automatically. When you save a reminder time, Wrk It detects your current timezone from your browser and sends it to the reminder scheduler alongside the time you set. This means your reminders fire at the correct local time regardless of where you are.
If you travel to a different timezone, update your reminder times or allow your device to adjust automatically — Wrk It reads the timezone fresh each time your settings are synced.
Reminders and your packs
Reminders are linked to your primary active pack. If you have multiple packs, the reminder schedule is built around your first pack. The notification content reflects the habits in that pack.
Offline reminders
If you have Wrk It installed as a PWA on your device, reminders are also scheduled as local device notifications alongside push notifications. Local notifications work even when your device is offline or the app has been closed — they are stored on your device and fire at the scheduled time without needing a network connection.
